IPUMC Kid’s Ministry
Here at Inman Park, we believe it is important to offer our children a variety of ways to CONNECT, GROW, and SERVE together in Christian community. We have something for all ages, starting with nursery for infants and toddlers up to more mature programs for elementary students.
Our children meet one Friday a month for a special night to CONNECT with a meal, games, crafts, and more!
Children’s GROW Groups meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am. Our small group curriculum is designed around age-appropriate monthly themes that include a monthly memory verse, weekly “Bottom Line”, and a weekly devotional just for kids. Kids GROW is from 9:45-10:45 AM each week. By the time our elementary kids move up to youth, we want them to know these three truths:
I need to make the wise choice.
I should treat others the way that I want to be treated.
I can trust God no matter what.
Nursery (6 weeks through 3 years old): The Nursery provides a safe, loving environment where babies and toddlers experience God’s love through their caregivers and are introduced to the Bible.
Club K Friends (4yr. olds – Kindergarten): Children will relate with Bible characters and see themselves in the Bible story. They will also begin to see themselves as Friends of Jesus.
Club 12 Followers (1st & 2nd grade): Children will begin to understand the Bible stories, identify with characters, and apply faith-based actions to their own lives. Thus, they will begin to understand themselves as Followers of Jesus.
Club 35 Finders (3rd – 5th grade): Children will understand the structure of the Bible and navigate through it to find stories they know or want to explore. They will develop a sense of agency as they begin to Find the ways Jesus is working in their lives.
Our children and youth have hearts for serving others. We regularly participate in special planned activities that are inspired by our church’s commitment to homelessness, hunger, and children.
